The paper is devoted to a brief analysis on the development of the Bulgarian fuel market. Specifically, the focus of attention is placed on finding correlative relationships between the trends of development manifested differently on the international and the local market. This is done intentionally to foresee effects that are mostly negative and bring negatives in the work of the overall Bulgarian economic system. The tasks set for resolution can be explained with the maxim that when you discover the causes of a problem, i.e. its past and analyze its condition, then you can better predict and anticipate both its and own future.
