Abstract


The aim of this study is determination of the genotoxic effects of pesticide pollution at exposed workers in the region of Prizren. Results of this study show significantly higher (P<0.001), frequency of micronuclei in epithelial buccal cells of subjects exposed to pesticides pollution in comparison with frequency of micronuclei of control subjects. Additionally, the micronuclei frequency of epithelial buccal cells of smoker subjects exposed to pesticides pollution a was significantly higher (P<0.001), in comparison with micronuclei frequency of non-smoker subjects from the same group.
