Development and diversification of the integrated tourism products in Hisar municipality

Abstract


In this report the opportunities for integrated development of the Hisar municipality are identified through diversification of tourism products. Niche tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors in the tourism industry, which offers not only just a trip or vacation but adds individuality to them. The term "niche tourism" is inspired by the "niche", a term that explains how a particular product is created to meet the needs of a specific audience or market segment of the tourism. Based on the analysis of tourist flow for the period 2009-2014 new opportunities for tourism niches have been explored, offering a variety of alternative forms of tourism (SPA and wine) in order to increase the competitiveness of the tourism product in the region.
