BULGARIA OF REGIONS 2019

The Scientific Committee of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Bulgaria of Regions", organized by the University of agribusiness and rural development on the topic "Fiscal policy, globalization and economic growth: sustainable development challenges and perspectives" on 22 November 2019 in Plovdiv , invites lecturers, scientists and practitioners to participate in the forum.

The purpose of the conference is to enable the discussion of fiscal policy issues’ influence on economic growth and sustainable development, the effects of globalization and the opportunities for applying innovative models and solutions for balanced regional development. Socio-economic zoning: traditions, contemporary state and problems

19 - 21 October 2018

Plovdiv, Bulgaria

Thematic areas:

  1. Theoretical issues of socio-economic zoning and regional planning.
  2. Specifics in the zoning and the regional policy of the European countries. Regional policy in the European Union countries - achievements and problems. Regional structure of the EU. European regions.
  3. The zoning in Bulgaria - traditions, contemporary status and problems. Private (sectoral) and complex (integrated) socio-economic areas.
  4. State policy for regional development - traditions and transformations. Areas of targeted impact (areas of growth, rural areas, etc.). The new scheme of regional zoning and planning in the country - necessity and justification of different options.
  5. Operational programs and strategic planning documents (national, regional, district and municipal strategies and development plans) - instruments of the sustainable regional development.

    On behalf of the Organizing and Scientific Committee of the Jubilee International Scientific Conference "Bulgaria of Regions", organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of University of Agribusiness and Rural Development, we are pleased to announce that it will be held on October 27-28, 2017, in Plovdiv, BULGARIA under the topic "Sustainable Regional Development Perspectives".

    The conference's objective is to outline the problems and perspectives in SUSTAINABLE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT by presenting current scientific research, giving recommendations for practice, creating opportunities for discussions and establishing relationships between science, business, non-governmental organizations, state and local authorities.

    AIM OF THE CONFERENCE

    The conference's objective is to outline the problems and perspectives in SUSTAINABLE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT by presenting current research, giving reccomendations for practice, creating opportunities for discussions and establishing relations between science, business, non-governmental organizations, state and local authorities.

    Among the topics to be discussed are: policies of regional development and markets, legislation, financing; economic development and competetiveness, entrepreneurship and management, infrastructure, agribusiness and tourism, etc.

    The accent will be on sustainable regional development, regional markets and international trade, green economy,and information and communication technology.

    The Fifth ACEU congress will be the attendant event of the conference with the participation of rectors of universities from the region.

    The conference will provide opportunities for information and knowledge exchange of relevant experts, researchers and institutions in those fields with the purpose of fostering international cooperation and new initiatives in Central and Eastern European countries.

    centered. In case of collective authorship, all authors must be stated.

    Abstract

    Abstract is written in English, maximum 250 words.

    The length of a contribution in prescribed format is 4-6 pages A4
